The true story of Christopher and Susan Edwards, currently serving time for the murder of Susan's parents and starring some fantastic casting of Olivia Colman and David Thewlis as the couple who (coincidentally?) moved abroad just around the time of her parents' disappearance.
This limited drama series, though based on a true story, still leaves you wondering how this seemingly perfectly nice couple could do something so dreadful as murder. Showing in the UK on Sky, HBO have indeed got a winner on their hands. The acting is superb of course, as you would expect from Colman and Thewlis and the direction, script and design are all on point at the very least and often beyond even that.
As an exercise in character study, this is compelling and highly watchable. If you get the chance, you should definitely take the time to check it out.
