When I heard this was being made, I remembered all of the times when I begged for that exact thing to happen. I am reluctant to chastise this too harshly as it is far from what I expected or hoped for.
Saying this, I didn't really fall in love with The Matrix until the fifth or sixth time watching it. The question is will I even reach that number of viewings? My brain says no at the present time, but who knows? I know it requires more deliberation before giving it a full review.
Quite often, little bits of me die. This was one of those times. We live in a different world now. We shouldn't expect better, but just be grateful if better comes.
