Star Trek: Strange New Worlds

What happened before Captain Kirk took over. This prequel series from CBS/Paramount+ features the adventures of the Starship Enterprise under Captain Christopher Pike.

Whilst only two episodes into this first season (it has already had its second series greenlit) this looks like something of a gem. Concentrating on the now familiar premise of a new and unique adventure taking place every episode, with an underlying thread running through the entire series. Starring a hugely likeable Anson Mount, this has all the promise of a truly original and authentic addition to the franchise which had showed signs of losing its way.
