Oddly, I was just thinking about the third season of The Orville only the day before yesterday, and then what should land on my desk this morning? This Star Trek-a-like from Family Guy creator Seth MacFarlane was worth a third trip out, and so it came to be.
After viewing the first episode of this new season, the same 'is this taking the mickey?' feeling is uppermost, but if anything, this is becoming more actual sci-fi drama and less 'farts in space' jokes, even going so far as to tackle suicide from the perspective of a non-feeling alien android. Not something you come across every day, but this never was. Looks promising so far...
